The Workforce Investment Board offers the following ”soft skills” training:



Workplace Dependability

- Helps participants develop individualized plans for getting to work early every day

- Addresses the cost of poor attendance for individuals and businesses and offers 
strategies for minimizing absenteeism and tardiness


Getting Along with Co-Workers

- Addresses the most common behaviors that make it difficult for people to get along 
in the workplace

- Addresses the negative impact of conflict and the positive benefits of a more 
cooperative work environment

- Includes group activities to generate solutions to common sources of workplace conflict


Business Etiquette

- Points out the little things that make a big difference in workplace behavior 

- Participants will learn the importance of workplace hygiene, attire, use of communal 
machines, phone etiquette, e-mail etiquette and the negative effects of gossip and rumors



Both curriculum and live delivery of these courses are available through the WIB.
