The Morris · Sussex · Warren Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is responsible for planning, policy guidance and oversight of the workforce investment system in the three counties.  Its goal is to combine area employment, training and supportive services and programs into a consumer based, market driven system that meets the needs of job seekers and employers.  Strategies and objectives for accomplishing the WIB's goal are contained in the Workforce Investment Plan.

The WIB oversees the One-Stop Career Center System, which is the delivery mechanism for comprehensive services for workforce investment system customers.  

Through planning, data collection and continuous improvement of programs and services, the WIB seeks to maximize the efficiency of the local labor market, surpass customers' expectations and exceed federally required and state determined performance standards.

WIB Seeking Business Members

The WIB is seeking new business members from Morris, Sussex or Warren Counties to advise the WIB on labor market and workforce development issues.

Membership details:

Three 90-minute meetings per year:
   - One each in Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties
   - Can attend in person or by telephone

No fiduciary responsibility

No fundraising or appeals

Help shape area workforce development/economic development

"Jobs4Jersey" Site Launched

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJLWD) has just launched www.Jobs4Jersey.com, their new online resources website. 

Through “Jobs4Jersey”, links to existing tools and content are streamlined. Employers and job-seekers alike will find the new website to be a quick and easy portal to the vast and previously scattered assortment of state and federal data, weblinks and programs designed to assist them both with training, financial assistance and advice.

As part of the NJLWD main site, www.Jobs4Jersey.com focuses on New Jersey's paramount concern: generating jobs and helping our key business sectors to remain competitive in the current marketplace. 


Educational Opportunities for Unemployed Workers
