The Oversight Committee was convened to more fully meet the WIB’s responsibility for oversight of Workforce Investment Act programs and expenditures.  It is comprised solely of WIB business members in order to insure the highest standard of oversight and totally obviate questions of conflict of interest.

The Committee’s tasks include review of:  Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding and budget, WIA expenditure reports, WIA and Learning Link performance reports, proposed service provider monitoring schedule, monitoring reports, and corrective action responses from service providers.

The Committee was launched in June 2010 with an in-person organizational meeting.  Since that meeting, they have been reviewing and commenting on documents electronically.
